For more than 20 years, the Bonpland Award has been recognizing gardens that are exemplary in their design and gardening practices. This annual competition created by the SNHF (French National Horticultural Society) and supported by the Jardiland Institute is an opportunity to promote the creation or restoration of ornamental gardens by amateur gardeners. It therefore rewards initiatives that have the value of an example and that every budding gardener can make their own.
The winners of the prize also undertake to open their gardens to visitors in order to share their know-how.
A very “Feminine-Masculine” 2013 edition.
This year, 18 gardens in 12 regions of France were in competition on the theme “Feminine-Masculine”. An original way of exploring the rarely insignificant, sometimes complex, often complementary and always enriching relationships between the masculine and feminine in the garden. During the Courson Plant Days on Friday 19 October 2012, the public was able to discover the winners of this year’s competition.
