The trifle is a delicious English dessert which here is a nice way to cook it with plums and amaretto.

Ingredients for 4 people :
500 g of plums reine-claude 10 amaretti 2 egg yolks 60 g sugar 60 g flour 40 cl milk 1 vanilla bean 1 dash of amaretto
Recipe of plum trifle with amaretto
Wash and dry the plums, then open them in half to remove the stones. Coarsely crush the amaretti (keep some for decoration).
In a saucepan,
Pour in the milk. Open the vanilla bean in half and scrape the seeds out of the milk. Bring to a boil.
In a bowl,
Place the egg yolks and sugar. Beat with a fork until the mixture clears up. Add the flour and stir in, being careful not to form lumps. Pour in the milk, mix well and then transfer the preparation to the saucepan that was used to heat the milk. Cook about 5 min, whisking constantly, until the cream thickens. Allow to cool.
Perfume with a dash of Amaretto. Mix well.
In verrines, divide the crushed amaretti, the custard and then the plums.
Sprinkle with a little crushed amaretti before serving.
