Recipe for Trifle with apples, walnuts and chestnuts

Peel the apples, remove the hearts and cut into very small cubes. Lemon them. Coarsely crush the nuts in a mortar. In a bowl, place the Swiss chard and sweeten them.

Divide a good tablespoonful of chestnut cream, the diced apples, the crushed walnuts and the small Swiss chestnut into 4 large verrines in succession. Decorate with a dash of chestnut cream and a few broken walnuts.

That’s for every day!

Always keep a jar or airtight box filled with walnut kernels handy; they will enhance a salad, cottage cheese with honey homemade bread, a pumpkin soup or a chocolate dessert (cream, cake)… or just a cheese board.
